Ombudsman’s office, trade and environment ministries get new permanent secretaries

A Cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame on Friday, August 23, made new appointments in the Ombudsman’s Office, and in the ministries of trade and environment.

Clarisse Munezero was appointed as the Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Ombudsman.

Having previously served as the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement, Munezero replaces Xavier Mbarubukeye.

In the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Antoine Marie Kajangwe was appointed the Permanent Secretary.

Prior to his appointment, Kajangwe, who replaces Richard Niwenshuti, was the Director General of Trade and Investment in the same ministry.

Beatrice Cyiza was appointed the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment.

Until her new appointment, Cyiza, who replaces Patrick Karera, serfved as Director General for Environment and Climate Change in the same ministry.

Additionally, former Members of Parliament, Speciose Mukandutiye and Francis Karemera, were appointed as Council Members of the Rwanda Elders Advisory Forum.
