Unbeaten APR will face off with the defending champions, Rwanda Group (REG) on Wednesday evening in the national basketball league.

The game will get underway at 6pm at the Amahoro outdoor stadium.

The encounter is one that arguably carries a lot of meaning for both sides, since points gathered from such big games sometimes play a key role in deciding the title race later on in the season.

APR goes into the game fourth on the table with 14 points after seven games, while REG are eighth after playing 6 games.

In an interview with Times Sport, Cliff Owuor, the Kenyan tactician who is the head coach of APR referred to the tie as "a serious fixture.”

"We have a serious fixture against REG tomorrow (Wednesday). Winning this game would be a big boost for us. We need to keep the momentum by consistently winning game after game because we have what it takes,” he said.

In other games, Shoot 4 Stars will host University of Rwanda - College of Medicine and Health Sciences (UR CMHS) in the evening at IPRC-Kigali.
