A host of top artistes have been lined up to headline the fourth edition of MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival which kicks off in Musanze on August 31.

According to festival organisers, East African Promoters (EAP), the festival will this year cross eight districts around the country with Musanze set to be artistes’ first stop followed by Gicumbi, Nyagatare, Ngoma, Bugesera, Huye, Rusizi, and Rubavu, where the event will conclude on October 19.

A star-studded lineup set to entertain music enthusiasts during the festival includes Bruce Melodie, Ruti Joel, Chris Eazy, Danny Nanone, Bwiza, Bushali, and Kenny Sol, who will be making his debut appearance at the annual music fest.

"I’m proud to be here. It's not my first time performing on a big stage, so I expect a lot. and it means a lot to me to be together with my people," Kenny Sol told the press.

Since its inception in 2019, Iwacu Muzika Festival has grown in popularity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival adapted to digital drive with artists performing live on television after concerts, festivals, and public gatherings were temporarily banned from March 2020.

With the world of entertainment now back to new normal, the festival returned and rebranded to MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival.

The festival will run for nearly two months. Entry will be free of charge for the general audience, while the VIP section will be charged at Rwf 2,000.
