The past week has been eventful in all aspects but most especially, diplomatically and in entertainment.
It started on Monday, March 14, when President Paul Kagame received in his office the Commander of the Land Forces in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF), Lieutenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba who arrived in Kigali for a three-day visit.
On the same day, General Jean-Bosco Kazura, Chief of Defence Staff of Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) arrived in Paris for a three-day visit at the invitation of his French counterpart General Thierry Burkhard.
On Tuesday, Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye received a high-level Rwandan delegation led by Minister of Defence Maj Gen Albert Murasira, in the capital, Gitega, who was carrying President Kagame’s message. He would later on Thursday welcome Cardinal Antoine Kambanda of Rwanda.
President Kagame also welcomed to his office Chadian President General Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno and the Chairman of Chad's Transitional Military Council who arrived in Rwanda for a two day state visit on Friday.
During the weekend, 19-year-old Divine Nshuti Muheto was crowned Miss Rwanda 2022 at a glamorous grand finale held Saturday, at Intare Conference Arena, Rusororo.
