Chadian President General Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno and the Chairman of Chad's Transitional Military Council this afternoon arrived in Rwanda for a two day state visit.
President Deby, alongside his delegation were received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta at the Kigali International Airport.
The head of state is expected to meet President Paul Kagame where he will be hosted for a tête-à-tête.
President Deby’s visit comes at a time both countries are looking to deepen bilateral ties in various sectors.
They include economic, security matters among others.
In August last year, Minister Biruta delivered a message from President Kagame to the Chadian President.
