The Commander of land forces of Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Wednesday, March 16, concluded a three-day visit to Rwanda.
Muhoozi’s visit was part of the ongoing effort to restore ties with Uganda and it was a follow up to a similar one he made in January this year.
During his time in Rwanda, he held talks with President Kagame, and among others, visited the Kigali Genocide memorial to pay tribute to victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
He also toured the Campaign Against the Genocide Museum at the Parliamentary Buildings and also visited the Kigali Arena, the modern sports facility in Remera.

Lt. Gen. Muhoozi paid tribute to victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial in Gisozi on Tuesday, March 15. The Memorial is home to over 250,000 victims.
The visiting general also toured the campaign against Genocide Museum in Kigali and learn more about the history of liberation struggle on Tuesday, March 15.
Later on the afternoon of Tuesday January 14, Muhoozi was given a tour of Kigali Arena where he shot a few hoops. Muhoozi is said to be a sports enthusiast.
President Kagame received Lt Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba at his farm where he gifted him with Inyambo cows on Tuesday on March 15.
