Popular Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has been appointed senior presidential adviser on creatives by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The Ugandan National Musicians Federation President, real name Edrisa Musuuza has joined the growing list of over 160 advisers of the Head of State with his appointment set to yield fruits for an industry that has for so long been said to be ignored by the government.

Kenzo’s partner Phiona Nyamutoro, who is also the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development took to social media to congratulate him.

"Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment @eddykenzoofficial , proud of you always. Thank you H.E @KagutaMuseveni,” Nyamutoro posted on her X handle on Wednesday night, August 21.
