I am in total agreement with Government’s decision to suspend the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) local language (Kinyarwanda) programmes from Rwandan airwaves.
The BBC should clearly understand that as Rwandans today, the unity and reconciliation which people have enjoyed over in the last 15 years is an important aspect in our efforts to get over the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, we deplore its improper conduct to undermine these efforts.

Our parents and grand parents have paid so much for the peace that we now enjoy; a dream that previously was far fetched and we are determined not allow any one to deviate us from the positive progress.

We feel insulted and BBC should actually be grateful because our decision to terminate them will entirely depend on how they respond.

In my view, Rwandans deserve to be treated with respect so they (BBC) must act accordingly if they still want to retain our audience.

We are all evidently tired of pleading with BBC not to continue giving Genocide deniers airtime but to no avail.

Local communication and information centres should also desist from programmes and publications that seek to undermine or deny the tragedy in which over a million of our brothers and sisters were mercilessly slaughtered.
