Rwandan afro-beat star Davis D, real name David Icyishaka, is going to entertain music lovers in Belgium on July 2.
The ‘Dede’ hit maker confirmed the development on his social media platforms, noting that it is in line with his aim of taking his music to an international level this year.
Dubbed ‘Afro Killa Concert’, the show will be held at Proximus Lounge in Brussels, one of the cities in Europe with a big number of Rwandan Diaspora.
Talking to this publication, Davis D mentioned that this concert is one of many others that he plans to take to different cities of the world.
He added that since he ventured into music, he always dreamt of going big in his career like the likes of Diamond Platnumz of Tanzania and Wizkid of Nigeria, and now it’s time to accomplish what he started by representing his country internationally. "We are going to party like never before,” he said.
Davis D is a Rwandan afro-beat star who rose to stardom after releasing his number one hit ‘Biryogo’ in 2015, a track that introduced him to the music scene of Rwanda.
He got more fame during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, a period which saw Davis D dropping hits like ‘Bon’, ‘Micron’, ‘Itara’, ‘Ifarasi’, ‘Eva’ and many others.
He is also popularly known for his single, ‘Dede’, which won the attention and admiration of many music lovers in Africa.
