MISS AFRICA GOLDEN RWANDA, Landrine Uwicyeza is in Nigeria to represent Rwanda at the Miss Africa Golden 2021 fourth edition held in Lagos, Nigeria.
She is set to compete with 40 contestants from different countries across the continent in the city of Lagos but due to the on-going pandemic only 20 women were present in this beauty pageant.
She was crowned Miss Africa Golden Rwanda mid last year during the Miss Global Beauty Rwanda, a beauty contest that gives six winners opportunities to represent the country in different international beauty pageants. This annual beauty pageant in Rwanda, organised by Embrace Africa is with an aim of giving more Rwandan women an opportunity to represent Rwanda in more international beauty pageants.
Uwicyeza revealed that after arriving in Lagos she went straight to boot camp where they participate and get trained in different activities with coaches.
"I would like to ask Rwandans to kindly vote for me because the voting process has already kicked off and will be closed this Friday. Votes will play a big part in who will be crowned the next Miss Africa Golden,” she says.
She added that if Rwandans vote for her it will give her chances of reaching the last round and has hope for reaching in this competition.
Voting is done via the Miss Africa Golden website and one vote costs a dollar.
The next Miss Africa Golden will replace Pamela Aleper from Uganda who was crowned last year.
The winner of this year’s edition will be announced during the contest’s glamorous grand finale on March 5, in Lagos, Nigeria.
