YASSIN MIZERO also known as Yassin Indistizo in his music career is one of the rising talents in the Hip Hop industry of Rwanda. He is under the Trap Ish gang and recently released an Extended Play after his name ‘Indistizo’.

Yassin discovered his music career in 2015 but started it officially in 2018 after his secondary education. 

"My inspiration came from my fellow artists, ‘Loud Sound Music’. We are all like brothers who help each other to rise and grow in our respective fields.”

He revealed that his best moment was the time he went to the studio without any hopes of doing any song, but then recorded a nice song which everyone liked. His first song was ‘Life Ni Danjer’.

Some of his music projects are; ‘Zirihe’, ‘Warurihe’, ‘Umugani’ (Umva Imibuyu), ‘Umuhigi’ ft Kenny K Shot, ‘GXR’ (Get Double Rich) ft Kenny K Shot, and Logan Joe, some of which make up his new EP.

When asked why he named the six songs EP ‘Indistizo’ he said, "That is my nickname. I wanted people to get used to listening to my name,” the singer said.

He added that in that EP he wanted to give Rwandans good music and also inspire fellow youth who have talent to step out of their comfort zones and show the world what they are capable of doing.

Yassin was born and raised in Kigali-Nyamirambo. He did his primary school from Camp Kigali and later went to King David Academy. Growing up, he liked music and used to tell his parents that he wants to be a singer. Since there was no one in his family who was a musician, his family was not getting such. Except for his mother who stood by his side and supported him up to now. 

Doing music, he said that the first two to three years were a struggle, since he was still trying to find his footings. Among the challenges he faced, there was a lack of financial support and management. However, he hopes for the best.
