RWANDAN RENOWNED disc jockey, Jean Ndizihiwe popularly known as Africano is set to entertain music lovers of Atlanta- USA next month, March 19.
The Rwandan based DJ confirmed his headlining act in the US in an exclusive interview with The New Times on Monday.
Dubbed 'Spring Break Atlanta', the party will also bring together a slew of US based Rwandan artistes such as Jay Pack, a renowned rapper, and Rita Ange Kagaju who is one of the top upcoming Rwandan female musicians.
It will be the third time that DJ Africano performs in the same city. The first time was in April 2016 and the second in March 2018.
Talking to this publication, DJ Africano revealed that he is excited to entertain revellers in Atlanta, where he regularly headlined shows before the pandemic.
"Atlanta is known for an Extreme Nightlife Celebration in the south. I am happy to be back in this lovely city,” he said.
Deejay Africano who was popularly known for his session at Billionaire club Kigali also said that he is looking forward to meeting in real life many fans which he called family that follows his regular shows on TWITCH platform.
"Expect an Afro flavoured performance from the Maestro, the self-made Deejay Africano,” he added.
In addition, the renowned deejay said that he will be playing some of the best Afro, House, Amapiano and other different genres that showcase the African culture at the show.
Organised by The Creative Genius, a group of Rwandans based in Atlanta, the event will take place at Crazy Atlanta travel restaurant and bar located in downtown Atlanta on March 19.
Africano became a professional DJ in 2005 while in Durban, South Africa where he had gone for school.
Apart from The US, Africano has played in countries like Burundi, Zambia, Mozambique, DRC, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Cameroun among many others.
