Etoile de l'est will be hoping to get another good result on Saturday when they travel to Kigali to face Police FC in the Rwanda premier league.
Despite being close to the relegation zone, the newly promoted side boast of an enviable record in the league as the only team whose front three have netted four or more goals in the competition.
Samuel Chukwudi Nwosu has eight goals, Claude Kamoso has four and Peter Agblevor also has four.
Police FC is in sixth place on the league log with 23 points after fifteen games and Danny Usengimana as well as the mercurial Muhadjiri Hakizimana have been very useful to their course. When the duo have a good day, expect Police to run away with the three maximum points.
Etoile achieved some great results against a host of the title contenders in the first round and will be looking forward to going all out against Etoile. They drew 2-2 with APR, goalless with Kiyovu and defeated AS Kigali 2-0 in a pulsating game.
"We are ready for the big game against Police in Kigali on Saturday. We have prepared very well and we are well equipped for the encounter." Etoile winger Kamoso told Times Sport.
"We have the capacity to win every game, we drew with APR and beat AS Kigali. We have a strong attacking trio, and we have netted sixteen goals between us. We are going for a win against Police." He added.
Generally, Police FC will start the game as overwhelming favorites but Etoile have shown that they come to the party on the big occasions considering their performance against APR and AS Kigali.
The game will be an intriguing one with each side trying to capitalize on the other's short falls. The potent Etoile attack will hope to exploit the Police defence whereas the likes of Muhadjiri and others will also be aiming to find their way around the Etoile back four who have been very poor.
