APR women football side will be looking for a convincing win over Rubavu today at Kicukiro play ground as they seek to go top of the national women league.

The champions have been under pressure from last year’s runners-up and the current league leaders Aspej since the start of the league early in the year.

But APR captain Alice Umutoni is unfazed about Aspej’s continued dominance at the helm of the league table. She told Times Sport that it is a matter of time before APR take over the number one spot.

"They will definitely slip up some where. And they still have to play us (APR), and we are confident that we will defeat them,” Umutoni said.

League leaders take on La Charite in Muhanga. Aspej captain Theogne Mukamusonera was in a bullish mood ahead of the tie.
