RENOWNED GOSPEL SINGER Aline Gahongayire has featured in two new music projects by Catholic All-stars.
In an interview with The New Times, Gahongayire said that it is a blessing to her adding that is also a way of expanding God’s kingdom and that that they all worship the same God.
"Yes it is rare but for me, I think this is a good thing working together might bring something strong, connect our people and whoever wants the collabo with me is welcome as long as we serve and sing for the same God,” she said
Emmy Iyakaremye, best known as Emmy pro, the founder of Catholic All-star told this publication that as a Catholic producer he found out that there is a big gap in their music compared to the gospel songs from other churches, hence combining various singers from different choirs and groups to make a group dubbed ‘Catholic All-star’.
"I wanted to fill the gap in our style of music and try my best to put together different singers from the Catholic Church so that we can come up with something which is big and unique but at the same time which is on the level beyond the Catholic Church,” he explained
Commenting on the reason behind featuring Gahongayire out of all other gospel artistes he said that it is in line with expanding their boundaries as well as strengthening gospel singers’ bond from different churches.
He added that they are planning to work with others in future projects.
For instance, they have already collaborated with Mani Martin in a song dubbed ‘Niyeguriye Nyagasani’.
Iyakaremye also revealed that the songs they sing are mostly remixes of the most popular songs in the Catholic Church.
"We usually remix songs which already exist in our church and re-do them in a professional and modern way, which is what we are doing for the two we are about to drop. We’re in process of video shooting we will release both audio and videos anytime soon” he added
