Police FC endured a challenging start to their Africa Confederation Cup campaign, falling 2-0 to CS Constantine at Mohammed Hamlaoui Stadium on August 17.
The Algerian side took the lead with a goal from Brahim Dib in the 45th minute and despite Police FC's efforts to level the score, CS Constantine's defense held firm.

The hosts sealed their victory with a second goal from Tosin Omoyele in the 80th minute to take maximum points and secure a huge advantage ahead of the second leg that will unfold in Kigali on August 25.
The match was further complicated for Police FC as they finished with ten men after Msanga Henry received a red card in the 79th minute.

Police FC now faces a significant challenge in the second leg. To advance to the next stage of the qualifiers, they must secure a win by at least two goals.
The eventual winner of the tie between Police and CS Constantine will proceed to face either Nsoatreman FC (Ghana) or Elect-Sport FC (Chad) in the next stage.

Police FC last competed in a continental tournament in 2016, following their Peace Cup victory in 2015.
