There is something unexplainable about giving that excites one’s soul, at least mine. People who sacrifice and give their time, resources, ideas, finances, knowledge, gifts, mentorship and any kind of help to others, tap in the blessings they may actually not know of. Being the reason someone smiles or believes in good people is breathtaking.
Recently was my birthday, and I must say I am blessed to be surrounded with people who love me that showered me with gifts. I was speechless not only about the idea of buying some of my favorites but also honoring my special day.
Few people spare some time to go into details of what exactly you like regardless of how much it costs and just purchase it anyway to make sure you’re happy and content. I never take some incidents or acts of love and kindness lightly. I still look at my gifts and I am reminded of how special I am to specific people who always go an extra mile to do anything that brings me joy.
Since I know the feeling of receiving, I find it easy to give. I am actually more joyful giving than receiving because I look forward to solving a lack in one’s life.
It doesn’t make sense to me, having a wardrobe full of clothes that I no longer wear yet I know I could bless someone else with them. Surprisingly, people who give are more likely to receive, because their generosity can’t go unrewarded by other people or even those that they give.
When we give, we evoke gratitude and craft connections with the people we give or receive from. There are a number of chastity organisations that are empowered by receiving donations. Knowing that your giving can make positive changes in the world is everything to yearn for. Children should also be taught the essence of giving so that they grow practicing it. Just as they are heartened to save money for various reasons—they should be advised to put some money aside for contributing to charity. Such acts of kindness will never depart from them even when they grow-they will know that thrill of giving someone hope for tomorrow.
The truth about giving is that you don’t have to be financially loaded to take a step to do so, but rather, it starts from the heart, and the willingness to give regardless of whatever much or little you’re endowed with. I believe that as long as something brings a positive impact and difference on the life of the recipient, then it will serve its purpose.
But as we give, we need to be reminded that we don’t give with expectations to receive because if we do, we lose the purpose for giving. Giving without expecting anything in return from the receiver is the start of living a meaningful life. I have seen people’s lives transform once they mastered giving to others genuinely—not forced, not reminded, but doing it because they know they can save lives and instill hope. But mostly knowing that someone somewhere can count on them.
There is something about giving that makes others feel good, both physically and mentally, feeling more energetic, less depressed, and more self-worthy. Giving spurs us to do more good and unveil the perspective of happiness in people’s lives. Perhaps, it also comes with inspiration as the people given learn to also be givers.
We shouldn’t only offer help or any kind of support if people open up about their lack but even when they don’t do so. Sometimes we are able to tell when people need help even when they don’t open up about it.
