Patriots 77-70 APR
REG 93-71 Espoir
American point guard William Perry put up a great performance yet again as his team Patriots Basketball Club edged rivals APR 77-70 on Friday, August 16, BK Arena.
With his shooting, ball handling and hard work, Perry was a standout performer on the night, causing lots of problems for APR as he did earlier this year in the first round of the league
The game was tightly contested from the word go. The two powerhouses were locked on 20-20 points in the first quarter, while the second one ended 19-16 in APR’s favour
In the second half, the Patriots stepped up to win the third quarter 19-14 and the last quarter 25-17.
In addition to Perry’s performance, Patriots’ new boy Stephaun Branch had an impressive debut with 15 points, while his teammate Dieudonné Ndizeye posted 12.
On APR’s side, point guard Isaiah Miller led the team with 25 points and 3 assists while Ntore Habimana and Aliou Diarra added 12 and 11 points respectively.
With the win, Patriots stay in second place with 32 points, while APR continues to lead with 34 points.
