Rwandan-English defender Harvey Araujo has secured a one-year loan move to League Two side Chesterfield United for the 2024/25 season.
The 19-year-old, who plays primarily as a centre-back, joins Chesterfield from Fulham as he seeks to gain valuable first-team experience.
Araujo, who recently signed a new three-year contract with Fulham, is excited about the opportunity to develop further during his time at Chesterfield.
"I’m just here to play games and be the best player I can,” he stated during his unveiling on Thursday.
Araujo can play both as a centre-back and a left-back. He has been with Fulham since the age of 11, progressing through the ranks.
Born to an English father and a Rwandan mother, Araujo has represented England at the U18 level. However, he remains eligible to play for Amavubi at the senior level.
