Rwandan tactician Thierry Hittimana has been appointed as the new head head coach of Tanzanian Premier League side KMC FC.
Times Sports can confirm that Hitimana appended his signature to a one-year deal with the Kinondoni District club on Thursday, January 6 and his task is to help them maintain their topflight status after which they will exercise an option to extend his deal.
Hitimana who is one of the respected trainers in Tanzania was the assistant coach at Simba SC before terminating his contract last week through mutual agreement.
He previously handled a host of clubs in his home country which includes Rayon Sports as well as Bugesera and also had stints with the Rwandan national Under 23 team. In Tanzania, he was the head coach of Namugo FC before moving to Simba in 2020.
His first assignment at the helm of affairs at KMC will be on January 16 when they play as guests to Tanzania Prisons at the Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.
KMC are currently 12th on the league log with eleven points just two points above bottom placed Kagera Sugar.
