Sochaux defender Florentin Pogba will not travel with the Guinean national team for their pre-AFCON residential camp in Kigali as he has been effectively ruled out of Africa's biggest soccer fiesta.

Florentin, who is the elder brother of Manchester United and French star Paul Pogba suffered a knee injury and a tendon pull whilst playing for Ligue 2 side  Sochaux earlier this month and a scan he undertook on Monday showed that he will be out of action until the end of January.

Guinea head coach Kaba Diawara has already summoned Fode Camara of local side AC Horoya as replacement for Pogba.

The Syli Nationale are expected to play a friendly game with the Amavubi as part of their preparations before they travel to Cameroon for the tournament.

They are paired in the same Group with Senegal, Malawi as well as Zimbabwe.
