Rwanda Inspiration Backup, the organisation behind Miss Rwanda beauty pageant, on Friday, December 24 launched the registration of the contestants willing to take part in Miss Rwanda 2022.

However, this annual beauty contest comes with certain changes, according to the organisers.

Case in point, each contestant who will get in the pre-selection stage will get an award based on her votes.

Also, 20 percent of the money obtained from each beauty queen’s votes will be part of her allowance to implement her project.

"Every sponsor will support our top contestants with at least Rwf 2,400,000, which can be given at once or throughout the year, according to the contract the beauty queens will have with their respective sponsors” Miss Meghan Nimwiza told The New Times.

Miss Rwanda 2022 will get Rwf800, 000 monthly with a Hyundai Car.

Registration is currently underway via missrwanda.rw and the first auditions will take place in Northern and Western provinces on January 29 and 30 respectively.

The editions will continue to the South and East on February 5 and 6 respectively before Kigali city hosts them on February 12.

Pre-selection of the beauty queens is slated for February 26, and will move to the boot camp the next day, whereas the finale will take place on March 19,  2022.
