HE MIGHT BE NEW in the industry, but JaeCube’s music is on a whole other level with the touch of both Kendrick Lamar and Xxxtentacion in his sound.

Growing up, Gulain Ganza best known as JaeCube used music especially soulful genres as his medicine during hard times, something that helped him to heal from depression.

By listening to different musicians,  he landed on Xxxtantacion’s music and since then, his music taste changed and made him interested to start recording and producing his own songs.

On December 13, he launched his music career by premiering his first Extended Play (EP) ‘Impinduka’, a project that represents different genres such as Trap, Drill, Hip hop to mention a few.

Talking to The New Times, JaeCube said that his music is based on a soulful theme that aims at healing depressed people.

He added that his focus is not money or clout, but people’s attention and love toward his projects.

The EP holds chill vibes on tracks like ‘Mamiculo’, ‘Icyushaka’, ‘Kazi Kose’, ‘Wish’, and many others.

"This EP is a reflection of my life and how I want to help people heal through melodies and lyrics,” he said.

He also noted that he got the inspiration to make music from the depression he had for many years which is also the reason that pushed his ambition to help people in such situations.

"I wanted to make some changes in Rwandan rap music because I felt like something was missing. By doing so, I felt like introducing soulful melodies that can make one meditate while listening to my songs,” JaeCube said.

The EP was produced by renowned producers such as Kina Beat, Ehlers Pro and Pro Zed.

Born and raised In Rwanda, JaeCube is a Soul Rapper, singer and songwriter who is under 109EENT record label which also helped him distribute his recently released EP.

He revealed that his goal and target is to spread love and uniqueness in the music scene of Rwanda to make it recognised worldwide and use it as medicine to heal many with broken hearts.

From his recent EP, it is safe to say that he is among new artistes that will shine in 2022.
