FC Artet Bissen midfielder Sven Kalisa says he is looking forward to playing for the national senior football team.
The Luxembourg based central midfielder has already represented the European nation four times at youth level but he now wants to switch allegiance to the land of his parents and feature for the Amavubi.
"There will be no problem for me to play for Rwanda. I am ready to play for the Rwandan national team. I think if they call me, I will go there for sure," Kalisa told Times Sport.
"I have been following Rwandan football for a long time and I will be very happy to also go and contribute to the success of the national team. My all-time favorite Rwandan player is Jimmy Gatete."
The 24-year-old further mentioned that it has been a great season so far at club level and everything is moving well.
"The season is pretty good though it is still young, we hope to continue doing our best as it progresses." He added
Kalisa was born to Rwandan parents in Luxembourg and has represented clubs such as Dudelange, Mondorf and Ettelbruck before signing for FC Artet Bissen on July 1, 2020.
Aside from being able to play anywhere in midfield, Kalisa can also operate as a left-back and a left winger.
