Rwandan international centre-back Salomon Nirisarike has been handed a one-year deal by Belgian fourth tier KVV Zepperen Brustem.

Nirisarike, 31, was on the books of KVK Tienen in the 2023/24 season but didn't make any appearance for the club.

The form of the Amavubi defender has dipped considerably over the years since leaving AFC Tubize in the summer of 2019.

He went on to feature for Armenian clubs Pyunik Yerevan and FC Urartu before returning to Belgium in 2023.

On the international scene, his last appearance for Amavubi was on July 6, 2022 in an AFCON Qualifier where Amavubi lost 1-0 to Senegal in Dakar.
