Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has praised the talent of Rwandan youngster George Lewis Igaba-Ishimwe Maniraguha, who is a striker in the Arsenal U-23 team.
The Norwegian is convinced that Lewis is a fantastic player although he is having a difficult time in the Arsenal youth team due to injuries.
"I speak to Lewis every now and then. He's been injured, I know he had a hard time so we speak and he's a good guy. A talented guy as well," Odegaard stated when asked about his relationship with him.
"If I want to give advice to young players, I would just say, work hard and have fun."
"That is very important and it's easy to forget, we all play football because it's fun… so have fun, but work hard, believe in yourself, never give up and then everything is possible." He added.
Lewis was born in Kigali, Rwanda but grew up in Norway and he is eligible to play for both countries.
He joined Arsenal from Norwegian lower division side Fram Larvik in the summer of 2020 and started brightly before injuries had the better part of him.
He is expected to go on loan for adequate playing time when he gets fit in January.
