Gisagara Volleyball Club head coach Joseph Ndahiro has urged his players to turn their attention to the upcoming new season following their victory at the just concluded Taxpayers' tournament that took place last weekend at the Kigali Arena.

The tournament was a two-day event organised by RRA in collaboration with the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB), bringing together 14 teams: 7 in the men's category, and 7 in the women's category.

Gisagara won the trophy after beating APR 3-1 sets in the final game that took place on Sunday, November 28.

The team is now starting to set their mind on the 2021 national volleyball league which starts on December 10 and will run for one month.

In an interview with Times Sport on Monday, Ndahiro said that the Taxpayers' tournament title boosted his team’s morale.

He appealed to his players that there is no time to relax as the league is around the corner.

"This coming weekend we will play another tournament (the Gisagara tournament, a pre-season competition) that we will host and it will help us to better prepare for the upcoming season,” he said.

The Gisagara tournament will be held from December 4 to 5 with the participation of teams that play in the first division men's and women's category.
