On Saturday, August 10, Rwandan gospel artist Israel Mbonyi performed at the Africa Worship Experience Concert at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi, Kenya.

Joining several prominent Kenyan gospel musicians, Mbonyi's appearance drew a large crowd, including politicians, religious leaders, and celebrities, making it one of the major gospel events in Kenya this year.

This marks the gospel artist’s first official performance in Kenya. He shared with local media that he had previously visited Kenya for a more private engagement with the Rwandan community abroad and a producer.

Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, Pastor Robert Burale, Pastor Kiama, Mwalimu Churchill, Rev. Lucy Natasha, and Big Ted were among the notable attendees at the Africa Worship Experience Concert.

Award-winning singer and songwriter Israel Mbonyi captivated the audience with his performance, delivering songs that earned widespread acclaim and admiration from the Kenyan crowd.

Cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd, gospel sensation Israel Mbonyi took the stage for over two hours, delivering a powerful performance.

Headlining the Africa Worship Experience Concert, Mbonyi captivated the audience with a selection of his hit songs, including "Nitaamini," "Nina Siri," "Sikiliza," "Yanitosha," and "Yeriko," reinforcing his status as a leading gospel artist in the region.

The concert also featured performances from Karura Voices, Pitson, Timeless Noel, Destiny Voices, K-Krew Worship, Adonage Band, and DJ Gee Gee, who kept the crowd entertained throughout the afternoon and evening.

Following his success in Kenya, Mbonyi will continue his music tour with shows in Uganda, starting in Kampala on August 24 at Millennial Grounds Lugogo, and concluding in Mbarara the next day.

In 2023, Israel Mbonyi's foray into Swahili music with his hit "Nina Siri" marked a notable expansion of his musical repertoire and influence, extending his reach beyond Rwanda and resonating with audiences across East Africa.
