The fourth edition of the Renewable Energy Week Conference and Exhibition, set to take place from September 9-12, 2024 at the Kigali Marriott Hotel.

Kigali, Rwanda, August 9, 2024 — Energy Private Developers (EPD) in partnership with key stakeholders within and beyond Rwanda is thrilled to announce the fourth edition of the Renewable Energy Week Conference and Exhibition, set to take place from September 9-12, 2024 at the Kigali Marriott Hotel. This year’s event is themed "Accelerating Rwanda’s Renewable Energy Transition and Adoption.”

The Renewable Energy Week Conference and Exhibition aims to bring together stakeholders from across the energy sector in and beyond Rwanda, including (captains of the industry, public institutions, Regional and International Industry Associations, Development partners, researchers and academia, civil society, NGOs, and financial institutions and carbon offset developers). The conference will serve as a platform to discuss and explore innovative solutions to propel Rwanda’s renewable energy sector towards a sustainable future.

Key highlights of the event

• Panel discussions and presentations: Industry leaders and experts will engage in insightful panel discussions and presentations, covering critical topics such as energy efficiency, solar energy for commercial and industrial zones, e-mobility, clean cooking solutions, the role of renewable energy in climate change mitigation and adaptation carbon market and climate justice

• Exhibition: The exhibition will showcase cutting-edge renewable energy technologies and solutions from local and international companies, providing a unique opportunity for networking and business development.

• Site visits: On the fourth day of the event, participants will have the chance to visit key renewable energy projects, including the Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project, mini-grids, productive use of energy sites, and an E-mobility assembling plant.

• Visit Rwanda activity: The event will conclude with a "Visit Rwanda” activity, allowing locals and international delegates to explore and appreciate Rwanda’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.
