Millions of Rwandans, at home and abroad, will be tuning in to watch the swearing-in ceremony of President Paul Kagame on Sunday, August 11.
The Presidential Inauguration will be held at 45,000-seat Amahoro Stadium where tens of thousands have gathered.

The colourful ceremony during which President Kagame will be sworn-in for a five-year term, will be attended by more than 20 African leaders.
Kagame secured more than 99 per cent of votes in the July elections.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) and on its Rwanda TV channel on YouTube, as well as on all its platforms.
The national broadcaster and other Rwandan media house will be sharing updates on the ceremony.

Supreme Court President Faustin Nteziryayo will administer the Presidential Oath as per the Constitution.
President Kagame will deliver his inaugural address and receive the symbolic instruments of power from the Supreme Court President, including a copy of the constitution, the national flag, and the coat of arms.

Some of the leaders in Kigali for the Presidential Inauguration include Presidents Salva Kiir of South Sudan and Chairperson of the East African Community, Umaro Sissoco Embalo of Guinea-Bissau, and Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe.
Also present is King Mswati III of Eswatini, and Presidents Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana, Faustin-Archange Touadéra of the Central African Republic, Faure Gnassingbé of Togo, Mamadi Doumbouya of Guinea, and Sahle-Work Zewde of Ethiopia as well as Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania.
There is also African Union Commission Chair person Moussa Faki Mahamat and Secretary General of La Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo, among other dignitories.
Also in Rwanda for Kagame’s swearing-in ceremony is President Brice Oligui Nguema of Gabon, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko of Senegal, Vice President Tiemoko Meyliet Koné of Ivory Coast and Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada of São Tomé and Príncipe, and Lt Gen Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan Abdelrahman, President of Sudan Transitional Sovereignty Council as well as Vice President Jessica Alupo of Uganda.
