As physical concerts continue to give music lovers something to look forward to every weekend, there is still an option for those who prefer to watch from the comfort of their homes.
This evening, boy band Active, that comprises of Tizzo, Olivis and Derek are next in line to entertain music lovers with a live performance at the ongoing Iwacu Muzika Festival 2021 scheduled for this evening, November 6.
This virtual event will, as usual, be broadcast live on Rwanda Television at 8:45pm.
Upon being confirmed to grace the festival for the first time, Tizzo, a member of the boy group said they are super excited to be back on stage.
"It has been over 2 years since we performed last, it is an honour to be performing for our fans after such a long time. We missed entertaining our music lovers as much as they missed us, it really feels good to be back,” Tizzo.
Active fans should expect a great show, Tizzo added, the best dance routines as usual and the music they enjoyed in the past, Active has always given great performances and that’s what fans are to expect to night.
Speaking on their new projects, Tizzo says they have a new EP ‘Activity’ and that they released the first video last night.
"Active is here to stay”, says Tizzo.
Tizzo, Olivis, real names, Thierry Mugiraneza, Olivier Mugabo, and Dereck Sano will headline the festival after they had been on a music hiatus. They announced their comeback with a new management company and an EP which is already out to all their music platforms.
The trio started working together as a group in 2013 and made many songs over the years that received massive airplay like ‘Amafiyeri’, ’Udukoryo twinshi’, ’Bampe’ and ‘Canga irange among others.
They will headline the festival, following previous performances by Platini who opened the festival on June 26, RDF Military Band, Mani Martin, Cyusa Ibrahim, Peace Jolis and Naason Solist and Edouce Softman, Bruce Melodie, Israel Mbonyi, a double experience with Bushali and Bluestone, Yverry, Marina and Mbanda, Abdul Makanyaga and a double experience of Symphony Band and Bosco Niyo, Uncle Austin, Aline Gahongayire, Social Mula, Riderman and Serge Iyamuremye who performed last Saturday.
Iwacu Muzika Festival, which seeks to promote the Rwandan music industry bringing together different artistes in their age brackets on the same stage, is organized by East African Promoters, in partnership with the ministry of Youth and Culture, Tembera u Rwanda, RBA, among others.
