The University of Rwanda’s 3×3 Basketball team will take part in the Afro-varsity 3×3 Basketball Championship which will be hosted by United State International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) in Nairobi, Kenya.

The 4th edition of the continental Universities tournament will run from November 6 to 7 and the tourney involves different universities in Africa.

According to the statement from University of Rwanda, the students who are eligible to attend this tournament must be the students undertaking a degree or diploma at a university or similar institute, recognised by the appropriate national academic authority and not be older than 23 years old.

The selection of the players was done after the inter-campus competition that took place in Huye district in October.

"We organised a two day competition last month and our coaches pre-selected the best 14 players among the 216 players who participated in both the men and categories,” Albert Kayiranga, University of Rwanda’s Wellbeing Sports and Culture Specialist.

The delegation will be led by Albert Kayiranga.
