Hope Rwanda on Friday officially launched its Season of Service by installing a safe water project in Karama Primary School in Nyarugenge District.

According to Season of Service Co-ordinator, Tom Bagaza, the school’s 220 students, Genocide orphans settlement at Karama and the community at large will benefit from this safe water.

"Water has always been a challenge to this community. We are glad it has been solved,” said Patrick Bimenyimana, the school’s Headmaster.

The Season of Service is a Hope Rwanda annual project that works hand in hand with pastors and government during the Genocide commemoration period to restore Hope for Rwanda and the survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

"The Genocide against the Tutsi lasted 100 days. That’s why Hope Rwanda has 100 days of hope during the commemoration period,” said Hope Rwanda Director, Joel Sengoga.

He also said that the Season of Service is to emphasise the 100 days of hope to the survivors and show Rwandans what they are worth through good deeds and preaching God’s word to them.

The Season of Service will end with a mega Festival dubbed the Hope Festival at Amahoro Stadium. The festival is expected to attract pastors and artists worldwide.

Hope Rwanda is a faith-based organisation which aims to unit different religious denominations to give Hope to Rwanda.
