Police handball club continued their impressive form at the weekend after beating rivals APR 25-23 to clinch this year’s Coupe du Rwanda title at Amahoro Stadium.

The law enforcers’ side won the competition unbeaten; from the group stage through the semi-finals. It is the second trophy Police have claimed within weeks after the Beach Handball tournament held in Rubavu, on the shores of Lake Kivu, last month.

Meantime, Kiziguro SS won the Coupe du Rwanda title in women's category after seeing off the Falcons 39-33 in the final.

According to the Rwanda Handball Federation, the competition was a good avenue for players to prepare for the 25th African men’s handball championship.

Morocco will host the continental tourney in January 2022.
