It is no longer a secret that concerts and shows are back after the ‘Trappish Concert’ set the ball rolling over the weekend with a successful show at Canal Olympia, Rebero.
Focus has now shifted to the Mutzig ‘Movember Fest’ which will feature Nigerian afro-pop singer Adekunle Gold and one of the fast-rising Rwandan singers, Kenny Sol, who will share the stage with the ‘Okay’ singer.
In a promo video, Adekunle Gold urges fans to come out in full swing and buy tickets for the show which will take place on Friday, November 5, because "it is going to be mad”.
"It is going to be fire, come out, let us enjoy. Its going to be okay vibes, its going to be fire,” Adekunle promises music lovers.
The show which will be held in an outdoor setting will also usher in a number of shows that are expected to close off the year and restore hope that eventually normalcy will return after nearly two years of no concerts or public gatherings due to Covid-19.
"We are excited to see music shows return. It’s been nearly two years of no life but now we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. The Mo-vember Fest show will be a worthy experience for music lovers,” said Remmy Lubega of RG Consult, the organisers of the show.
"We encourage people to buy their tickets early, ensure that they have their vaccination proof and turn up at the venue for the mandatory Covid-19 test,” he added.
The show will also feature Nep DJs and Neptunes Band who will assist Adekunle Gold and Kenny Sol.
At the moment, Adekunle Gold is among the hitting African stars with songs like ‘Okay’, ‘AG Baby’, ‘It is what it is’, ‘Something Different’ and ‘Sinner’, among others, making him popular among people of all ages.
The 34-year-old singer, real name Adekunle Kosoko, has promised to deliver the best show come Friday.
On the other hand, Kenny Sol is among the Rwandan artistes that rose to fame in the post Covid-19 outbreak period, outing songs such as ‘Ikinyafu’ with Bruce Melodie, ‘Umurego’, ‘Aga fire’, ‘Haso’ and his latest ‘Say my name’ cementing his place as a fast-rising star.
