Renowned gospel singer Serge Iyamuremye is next in line to entertain music lovers with a live performance at the ongoing Iwacu Muzika Festival 2021 scheduled for this Saturday, October 30.
The virtual event will take place at Kigali Arena and, as usual, will be broadcast live on Rwanda Television at 8:45pm.
Serge Iyamuremye will headline this festival’s season three after his recent nomination for one of United Kingdom’s most precious awards, Gospel Touch Music awards.
Upon being confirmed to grace the festival for the first time, Iyamuremye told The New Times that he is happy to deliver all that God blessed him with at the festival.
"It is with pleasure that I invite everyone to my worship show, where we will be giving thanks to God for what he is doing for us," he said.
" I had enough time to prepare myself for the performance, I believe it will be a great performance and hope for everyone to enjoy every minute of the worship show. I also have an album dubbed ‘Urugendo’ that will be released soon,” says Serge.
The renowned gospel artiste is known for songs like ‘Biramvura’, ‘Yesu araje’, ‘Yesu agarutse’, ‘ Yari njyewe’, ‘Ishimwe’ and his new song ‘Lion’ which is currently taking over among others.
He will headline the festival, following previous performances by Platini who opened the festival on June 26, RDF Military Band, Mani Martin, Cyusa Ibrahim, Peace Jolis, Naason Solist and Edouce Softman, Bruce Melodie, Israel Mbonyi, a double experience with Bushali and Bluestone, Yverry, Marina and Mbanda, Abdul Makanyaga and a double experience of Symphony Band and Bosco Niyo, Uncle Austin, Aline Gahongayire, Social Mula and Riderman who performed last Saturday.
Iwacu Muzika Festival, which seeks to promote the Rwandan music industry bringing together different artistes in their age brackets on the same stage, is organised by East African Promoters, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Culture, Tembera u Rwanda, RBA, among others.
