Rwanda’s national senior cricket team starts its build-up to this year’s ICC/ACA World Cricket League Div 3 tournament in Malawi with a 35-over trial game this morning at Kicukiro Oval. The game, initially scheduled for March 29 was washed out pits two select sides captained by Srinath Vardhineni and Eric Dusingizimana.

The game, initially scheduled for March 29 was washed out pits two select sides captained by Srinath Vardhineni and Eric Dusingizimana.
Rwanda will be making a fourth successive appearance in the ICC tournament which was made annual early this year.
The East Africans made their debut in 2004 where they finished seventh out of eight teams.
In 2006, the team finished sixth before reaching the semi-finals last year where they lost to eventual tournament winners, Ghana.
The week-long event set for June pits Rwanda with Mozambique, Ghana, Swaziland, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Morocco, Lesotho and Gambia.
The tournament winners automatically progress to the ICC Associates Group.
