The 2022 summer transfer window saw a host of Rwandan players moving to new clubs.
Majority of the players including Steve Rubanguka and Sven Kalisa were snapped up by new clubs as free agents following the expiration of their deals.
But some other players are also still without clubs following their release. Here, Times Sport takes a look at these players yet to get a club.
Thierry Manzi
The central defender moved to Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat in January 2022 from Georgian side Dila Gori but failed to hold down a place in the team. Manzi, 26, made only five appearances for FAR Rabat and was released in July 2022.
He is still in the hunt for a new team as he eyes a fresh start in his career.
Salomon Nirisarike
The 29-year-old defensive stalwart spent 17 months at Armenian first tier side FC Urartu before being shown the exit in June 2022. He made 29 league appearances for FC Urartu during his stay with them in the Armenian top flight.
Nirisarike has previously featured for clubs such as Royal Antwerp, Sint-Truidense, Tubize and FC Pyunik.
Maxime Kali Wenssens
The 20-year-old shot stopper was released by Belgian Jupiler Pro League side KV Mechelen in June 2022 at the end of his contract.
Wenssens who was born to a Belgian father and a Rwandan mother was the first choice goalkeeper of the Mechelen U21 side though he made a couple of appearances on the bench of the senior team.
He was linked to a host of clubs including his former team, Sint-Truidense, after being released by Mechelen but he is yet to sign for any club.
Wenssens is eligible to be play for Rwanda as he is yet to be capped internationally at any level.
