RENOWNED LOCAL R&B SINGER Edouce Soft man is set to entertain music lovers at the Amahoro Festival in Kenya on November 26, organisers of the show have confirmed.
With the aim to link up and connect different African talents, the fest will host different singers, comedians, cultural dancers, fashion models and others.
"I am grateful for being chosen among the others. It’s a blessing and a good experience as Kenyan music is way more developed,’’ he says.
"I am ready to perform. I have a feeling this will be my best performance ever. I am ready to entertain music lovers in Kenya but especially Rwandans who live there and all Rwandans,’’ he added.
The singer also said that he is honored to perform on the same stage as Kidum, and other stars from different countries.
"This will help me and I hope that it comes with many other opportunities. I am also looking forward to make something like a collabo or a new track.”
With his latest hit single ‘Nyaranja’ Softman also added that he is working on his album which will be released in December.
According to Eugene Mutegetsi one of the event organisers, the festival will also feature famous DJ and Emcee Anita Pendo, singer Kidum from Burundi, singer Mandela and famous comedian Eric Omondi from Kenya.
"We are looking forward to entertaining music lovers after a long period since the pandemic took over. We want to give them a vibrant vibe,’’ he says.
He said that the festival was organised by Angaza Africa and Mitra Iconic Africa (M.I.A) and the festival will be held annually in different African countries.
He also added that Covid-19 guidelines will be observed, adding that the entrance fee is also affordable to everyone.
Asked why they invited singer Edouce Softman among others. He said that they recognized big talent in him after watching his performance at Iwacu Muzika Festival last year.
"He is the best singer. He is also talented. That’s why we invited him. We are also looking for other Rwandan talents we would invite for the next festivals,’’ he said.
Mutegetsi added that they are still striking deals with other artists that they hope will also perform in their festival, including famous singer Otile Brown.
