Champions Patriots and Rwanda Energy Group (REG) have reached the playoff finals of the 2020/2021 season after registering back to back victories in the respective semi-final matches they played during the weekend.

Patriots booked their ticket to the finals after beating APR in two consecutive games on Saturday and Sunday at Kigali Arena, as the semi finals were played under the "best-of-three semi-final series" format.

In another semifinal tie, Henry Mwinuka’s REG overcame IPRC-Kigali in the two games they played to set a finals' date with rivals Patriots.

During the Patriots-APR on Sunday, small forward Dieudonné Ndizeye scored a game high 18 points while Steven Hagumintwari added 17 points.

For the REG-IPRC-Kigali game, Adonis Jovon Filer posted 15 points for REG as they defeated IPRC-Kigali on Sunday while teammate Kami Kabange contributed 11 points.

The finals will also be played in a "best-of-three series" format, with game 1 being scheduled for October 29 at Kigali Arena.

In the women’s category, REG set-up a finals' date with The Hoops after defeating IPRC-Huye and APR respectively in the semifinals.

This will also be played in a best of three series format.
