FIFA lifts transfer ban on Kiyovu SC

SC KIYOVU had been under the ban since 2023 due to unpaid debts to several players, including former APR midfielder Sharaf Eldin Shaiboub.

The world football governing body, FIFA, has lifted the transfer ban it had imposed on Kiyovu Sports Club.

The Green Baggies had been under the ban since 2023 due to unpaid debts to several players, including former APR midfielder Sharaf Eldin Shaiboub.

On Wednesday, August 7, the club settled its debts, leading FIFA to lift the transfer ban.

In a related development Etincelles FC is still under a FIFA transfer ban for failing to pay Ghanaian midfielder Prince Jerome an amount worth $6,080. The ban was imposed on the team in January 2024.

Elsewhere, in transfers, Musanze FC have acquired Gambian midfielder Buba Hyadara from Banjul-based Rhino FC. The 20-year-old winger signed a two-year deal with the Northern Province based club.

Second tier club Etoile de l'est have also acquired Rwandan attacker Vedaste Niyibizi from Sunrise FC.
