Paul Van Haver, better known by his stage name Stromae, has returned to the music scene with a single dubbed 'Santé,' his first single in 8 years.
He revealed the return on all his social media platforms on Friday morning.
"‘Santé" Twitter! Glad to be back. My brand new track is now available on all platforms,” reads a tweet by Stromae.
In true Stromae fashion, the new track, and its touching music video, combines satire with danceable melodies to share a call for inclusivity and pay tribute to the everyday heroes who work the worst hours while others, well, dance.
He told the local media in Belgium that he spent the last eight years focused on his creative label Mosaert, with which he's released high-end clothing, bedding and home décor, along with a collaboration with car brand Mini.
Born to a Rwandan father, Pierre Rutare, and a Belgian mother Miranda Van Haver, Stromae is a renowned artiste with top awards like the European Festival Award and MTV Europe award.
His home coming concert in Rwanda was one of the best shows that ever happened in Kigali.
The singer is known for other songs like 'Alors on Danse' and 'Papaoutai.'
