Basketball league defending champions, Patriots will take on 30 plus in the quarterfinals of the 2020/2021 season today, October 9 at Petit Stade.

Due to Covid-19 inconveniences, this year’s league is being played in a tournament format, which involves group stage games, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.

Patriots advanced to the quarter-finals as leaders of their group (A) after winning 11 matches out of the 12 they played, while 30 Plus progressed as 4th in Group B.

A total of eight teams that qualified for the quarters are: 30 Plus, IPRC-Kigali, IPRC-Huye, APR, United Generation of Basketball (UGB), Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Shoot 4 Stars.

In other matches, APR takes on UGB at 4pm, and later REG will face off with Shoot 4 Stars at 6pm.

The quarters are played on a knockout basis, where the winning teams will straight away advance to the semifinals which are slated for next Saturday.
