Rwanda vs Uganda (Kigali Stadium, 6pm)

Amavubi Stars head coach Vincent Mashami has warned his players that it will be a tough match when they take on the Uganda Cranes on Thursday evening in the qualifiers of the 2022 World Cup at the Kigali Stadium.

Amavubi will be up against former coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic who rejoined the Uganda Cranes early this year.

While both Rwanda and Uganda come into the match looking for only their first win after two rounds, the visitors are a point ahead of the hosts.

"We need to win this game because it is the third game and a win would give players more confidence ahead of the remaining group matches. There is nothing to fear, what we have to do is to play our game and try to score goals,” Mashami said in a press conference held at Kigali Stadium on Wednesday.

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic, who coached Rwanda in 2012-2013 said that his team will be looking for nothing less than a win.

"With due respect to Rwanda, our target is to get maximum points from these games. Nothing less than that!” Micho said

"The players are ready for Rwanda. The young players in the team are like babies taking their first steps to walk. They want to prove a point and are willing to deliver for the Uganda Cranes and make the fans happy” he added

Mali leads the group with four points, followed by Kenya with two points, Uganda is third with two points as well, while Rwanda is fourth with one point.
