Burundian international Cedric Amissi has described his return to the Rwanda Premier League as an honour and pledged to help his new team Kiyovu Sports Club score many goals.
The 34-year-old midfielder joins the Green Baggies on a one-year deal, having last featured for Al Taawoun in Saudi Arabia.
He boasts great experience having played for clubs in various countries including his native Burundi, Rwanda, and Mozambique.
"It was an honour for me to play in Rwanda and I am happy to return. I am ready for the new season and I will give my best to help Kiyovu score as many goals as possible,” he told Times Sport.
Amissi can play both as a midfielder and forward. He is regarded as one of the top Burundian talents that have played in the Rwandan league.

"I know I have the responsibility to repay the faith showcased by the coach and management of the team. There is no doubt that we can get good results in the league,” he noted.
During his previous stint in Rwanda, he had a number of good performances. For instance, in the 2013 season, he scored 16 league goals in 13 matches for Rayon Sports.

"I need to do my best because this is a good time to show what I have as player,” he said.
