Olympique de Missiri 1-2 AS Kigali

AS Kigali Football Club defeated Olympique de Missira of Comoros 2-1 in the preliminary qualifying round of the 2021 CAF Confederation Cup on Friday at Stade Omnisports De Malouzini.

AS Kigali scored first on the 19th minute with a well taken free by Pierrot Kwizera while Robert Saba netted the second goal.

The hosts pulled one back through El Haad in the second half but the City of Kigali side held on for a famous away victory which gives them the upper hand in the second leg slated for September 18 at Kigali Stadium.

Last season, AS Kigali were eliminated by CS Sfaxien in the third round of the CAF Confederation Cup. 

The 2019 Peace Cup champions are taking part in the continental tournament for the third time following their 2001 debut.
