President Paul Kagame on Monday, September 6, appointed ACP Lynder Nkuranga as the new Director-General of the Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration.
She replaces Lt Col François Regis Gatarayiha, who had been at the helm of the institution since August 2018.
In a statement signed by Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente, the President also picked Col Jean-Paul Nyirubutama to take over from Nkuranga as Director-General of External Intelligence and Security at NISS.
Nyirubutama had earlier Monday been sworn in as the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), a position he also retains.
ACP Nkuranga had been serving in her former role at NISS since August 2020.
She previously served as Commissioner of Police in charge of Public Relations and Media.
