Police FC on Sunday announced the signing of Francis Nuttall Elliot from Scotland and tasked him to win the 2021/22 league title
The Scottish national replaces Haringingo Francis, who joined SC Kiyovu.
The 53-year-old has coached on the continent before with clubs like Zamalek of Egypt, Accra Hearts of Ghana and El Hilal El Obeid of Sudan.
Nuttall Elliot replaces Haringingo who had been at Police FC for two years. In his first season, the Burundian guided Police to third place but failed to better that feat last season with the Law and enforcement side finishing in seventh place.
Nuttall became a physical trainer of West Bromwich Albion in 1998 and holds a License A coaching certificate.
In 2004, he was named the Rangers FC fitness coach. He has worked at other clubs like Bristol City, Al-Nasr Dubai SC and Middleborough.
His journey to Africa began in 2014 when he started coaching Gor Mahia and won the Kenyan league that same year.
The team made history because in 2015 they won the League without losing a single game making him the Coach of the Year in Kenya.
Nuttall Elliot, in 2020, was appointed Head Coach of the Botswana Township Rollers.
Police was founded in 2000 but they have never won the league.
