Hategekimana close to Kiyovu move

Former Rayon Sports shot stopper Bonheur Hategekimana is training with Kiyovu Sports, Times Sport can exclusively reveal.

Hategekimana was the second choice goalkeeper to Khadime Ndiaye at the Blues during the 2023/24 season. He was released at the end of the season after his contract expired and he is now in the fold of the Green Baggies.

He is part of five goalkeepers currently training with the Mumena-based outfit in the preseason after which only three of them will be registered for the 2024/25 campaign.

The Sudan international had one year left on his APR contract but he requested the club to have it terminated as he was forcing a move to Libya.

Defensive midfielder Hesbon Rutonesha has rejoined his former club Gorilla FC after being released by Police FC.

The Rwandan youngster, who had a torrid time at Police FC due to injuries, returned to Gorilla FC after he was not handed a fresh contract when his deal ended on June 30.

Meanwhile, Mukura VS have released Cameroonian attacker Ronnie Bruno Etoundi. He joined the Huye-based club on a six-month deal in January where netted three goals in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

His outputs, however, didn’t impress Lofti Afahmia who showed him an exit door following the arrival of Ghanaian attacker Agyenim Boateng.
