US-based singer Medard Jobert Ngabo, commonly known by stage name as Meddy, has dropped a new song, ‘My Vow’, in dedication to his wife Mimi Mehfira.
It’s two months now since the couple tied the knot in a colorful ceremony held in Dallas, Texas.
The song, whose audio was produced by Rwandan producer Madebeats and video directed by Lick Lick, has so far hit over 370, 000 views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.
The singer hasn’t released a song since October last year, as he was preparing for a wedding with his Ethiopian then fiance but has now alerted his music lovers that he is back in action with a big package starting with ‘My Vow’ which is already leaving his audience blown away.
The video of the song feautures images from the couple’s wedding that gives views a glimpse of through how colorful the ceremony was.
Meddy’s wife Mehfira also feautures in the video to make the song’s message relevant.
Since its release, many people have reacted to the song mostly expressing their love for Meddy’s role in inspiring people to keep their faith and promises to their significant others.
"This song includes many love words usually used in Meddy’s songs,” a music fan reacted to the song.
Another Kenyan music fan said, "This song has such a reasonable meaning. These days it is rare to find a song with a good rhythm and good meaning, love from Nairobi”
Given how people are watching the song in big numbers, ‘My vow’ could become one of Meddy’s most popular songs alongside ‘Slowly’ which already hit 51 million views to become Rwanda’s mostly viewed song.
